Holoframe Corporation—What We Do

Holoframe Corp now produces animated and three-dimensional displays, and other display-oriented custom products, as well as continuing to fabricate custom, site-specific lighting fixtures for architectural, commercial, and residential locations.

Consultation

We can create a plan, and specify existing fixtures, or come in after-the-fact, and troubleshoot a site that is not working.

Design and Fabrication

We can create lighting and display concepts and take them to a finished product, design to specifications, or anything in between.

Display/Lighting Integration

We will make sure that your display works with the lighting around it, either by designing the whole area, or telling you how to eliminate existing problems. For instance, if you need a custom light-box, or want to brightly illuminate a store window without overpowering the interior, we will find a solution.  We can also incorporate theatre lighting, laser-light shows, and other exotic types of lighting and displays.

Uniquely Diverse Capabilities and Expertise

Holoframe can fabricate large or small runs. We can create high-tolerance, precision-engineered products, or produce a one-of-a-kind, industrial artwork, displaying the elegant touch of a master-artisan. We can build you a CNC router-cut trade show display, or reproduce a 1930’s French wall sconce for your home. We can design a high-tech, servo-motor controlled optical assembly, or make your restaurant the hottest new place there is.

Who We Are

Dan Kainen

Holoframe is the brainchild of Dan Kainen, who has been creating innovative lighting fixtures and environments for many upscale locations in New York, and other cities since 1980, as well as distributing a line of stock products nation-wide. With a background in both design and optical engineering, Mr. Kainen’s designs combine the best of both the worlds of Art and Science. For instance, his snap-on, retrofit framing projector, licensed to Halo Lighting in the mid-eighties, is still the smallest, most efficient projector of its kind, and much of Mr. Kainen’s other work often includes designs that display optical principals, such as the carefully controlled interference patterns in his "Moiré" fixtures.

Mr. Kainen holds three patents in the field of integrated optics, and is currently engaged in licensing this technology.
